A Glasgow shop has been cordoned off by police after a man was rushed to hospital following a “disturbance”.
Emergency crews raced to Duke Street in Dennistoun at around 10pm on Sunday September 21 after receiving reports of a “disturbance”.
Upon arrival at the connivence store, a man was rushed to hospital – where his condition is currently unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.05pm on Sunday, 21 September, 2025, we were called to a report of a disturbance on Duke Street in Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and one man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
This comes after we reported, in a separate incident, that a man appeared in court charged with assault and robbery following an incident at a Glasgow corner shop.
A shop worker was allegedly attacked at around 9pm on Saturday August 16 at the USave store on Hawthorn Street in Springburn.
Police Scotland confirmed they charged a 31-year-old man in connection and Colin McKay, of Glasgow, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday August 25.
He was charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, permanent impairment and robbery.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody. He was set to appear back in the dock in the next eight days.
