
An investigation is underway in Fairfield, Maine, after a man was found dead on the side of the road Saturday morning.
The Fairfield Police Department received a 911 call just before 9 a.m. for a male who wasn’t breathing on Martin Stream Road, according to Maine State Police, who were called in to investigate.
First responders determined the man was dead on scene, and detectives began working to gather evidence and conduct interviews.
The man has been identified as 46-year-old Jason Grant, of Oakland. An autopsy will be conducted in the coming days. It’s unclear if Grant’s death was weather-related. Brutal cold had settled into the region by Saturday morning with many waking up to negative wind chills.
