
A man “acting suspiciously” when police stopped a vehicle in Southport yesterday has been arrested. Merseyside Police officers stop checked a vehicle on Manchester Road in Southport on Wednesday, February 11 and arrested a man after he was “acting suspiciously.”
Kieran McKechnie, 37, of Anders Drive, in Kirkby, was arrested and charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine. He has been remanded to appear at Liverpool Magistrate’s Court today, Thursday February 12. The charges come under Operation Toxic, part of Project Medusa – a Merseyside-led initiative set up to tackle suspected County Lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation across the country.
The Eyes Open campaign educates young people and their parents and carers about the dangers of grooming, exploitation, and the deceptive tactics used by county lines gangs.
