
Police have issued a major update after two people were injured in a fight in Coventry. It happened in Wyken.
Officers responded to reports of fighting on Ansty Road at around 11.45pm on Saturday (November 1). CoventryLive understands a group allegedly ‘gatecrashed’ a wedding party at The Wyken Inn.
Chairs were reportedly hurled, with one woman rushed to A&E with head injuries. A man was also attacked and sustained injuries.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and taken in for questioning. He was subsequently bailed.
Investigations are ongoing. Witnesses have been urged to get in touch with West Midlands Police on 101.
In a statement to CoventryLive, West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an assault on Ansty Road at 11.47pm on Saturday. Crews discovered two patients, a man and a woman, and they were both treated for injuries not believed to be serious.”
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “A 44-year-old man has been bailed with strict conditions. Our investigation is continuing, and anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101 and quoting log 5106 of November 1.”
