Married at First Sight UK fans have urged a star to “run” as a groom’s “true colours” were exposed in a heated row.
The highly anticipated tenth series of the hit E4 show has officially returned to screens, and it’s already been filled with lots of drama.
Earlier this week, the couples sat down with experts Mel Schilling, Paul C Brunson and Charlene Douglas to reflect on their new marriages in the first commitment ceremony.
There was soon trouble in paradise for Nelly and Steven, who first appeared to be one of the strongest pairings. The couple had their first argument after their co-stars urged Steven to compliment his wife during a night out.
“I believe Nelly’s said something to the group about our relationship. It needs to stop because it will wind me up more and more if people get involved,” Steven fumed.
The drama continued on Thursday night (October 2) as the couples prepared for the second dinner party of the series.
Nelly revealed that she fell in the bath and broke her rib, but Steven chose to go out with his friends instead of staying at home with her. Meanwhile, the groom said that he was focused on his stepdad who was admitted to hospital.
Down the hall, fellow bride Julia-Ruth revealed that Steven had been making “concerning” comments while at the bar.
“Steven should have been at home with Nelly, but instead he at the bar bragging about his sex life before the experiment,” she explained.
“That is just insane. Nelly has no idea and I’m not one hundred percent sure if I should bring it up at the dinner party. I’m struggling with that. I think tonight will be very telling once there’s a bit of heat on him, how strong that bond is now.”
At the dinner party, Julia-Ruth told Leah that Steven “bragged” about being on dating site Raya, and that he had admitted to sleeping with a celebrity two weeks before joining the show.
Nelly was soon made aware of the developments, and quickly confronted her husband about what she had heard, with Steven instantly denying the rumours before an explosive row ensued.
The show’s viewers quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their shock, with one person writing: “Run Nelly! Steven’s true colours finally coming to light.”
