Atletico Madrid have made contact with the camp of Renato Veiga, and he’s keen on the move according to Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea have been busy this summer and have made three signings so far in Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens.
The Blues haven’t ruled out signing another attacker, whilst they are also looking for a left sided defender to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Whilst incomings are important, the Blues also have a number of players they are looking to move on in order to balance the books.
Chelsea have already sold Noni Madueke, Djordje Petrovic and Kepa Arrizabalaga, with more players set to head to the Stamford Bridge exit door.
Veiga falls into that category despite only joining from FC Basel last summer, and the Portugal international spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus.

The 21-year-old wasn’t part of the Club World Cup squad, and Veiga has attracted interest from German giants Bayern Munich.
However, it appears Veiga could be moving closer to a switch to La Liga side Atletico Madrid and Romano has provided an update on the situation.
He took to X.com and said:
“Atlético Madrid have now made direct contact with Renato Veiga’s camp… and the player is keen on the move!

If Chelsea can get €40m for Veiga that would be €26m more than paid just 12 months ago, not to mention the loan fee they got from Juventus.
Veiga won’t be the only defender leaving Chelsea this summer, and it looks like Axel Disasi will also be heading to the exit door.
Newcastle are said to be leading the race for Disasi, and it’s thought Chelsea value the 27-year-old at around €35m.
Villarreal and Juventus are also said to hold interest in Disasi, and it will be interesting to see which club he ends up joining.
