The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. As Senior Venture Developer, you will spin-off projects through their full lifecycle, from identification of spin-off concept to launch readiness. You will provide specialised coaching to spin-offs teams in building the business case, writing the business plan and designing the pitch deck. You will evaluate team readiness and adapt guidance to project maturity. You will negotiate with stakeholders, and play an instrumental role in team building, value proposition refinement, and investment preparation. You align actions to venture’s strategic goals. You are an effective communicator and network connector, actively supporting actions to build LIST entrepreneurial culture and supporting effective communication, networking, and ecosystem engagement to position LIST and its ventures for long-term success.

Education
· Required education level and covered topics: A background in engineering or science is highly valued, especially when combined with substantial experience in entrepreneurial roles – such as venture builder, founder/executive in a deep tech startup, or investor manager. A business degree is considered a plus.
Experience and skills
· Preferred: 6-7 years of experience in relevant fields. Experience working in a startup, studio, incubator, accelerator, or fund. A coaching or advisory role is essential.
· Responsibilities include supporting the customer journey from defining the product or service value proposition to achieving problem-market fit.
· Hard skills: Business planning (product-solution and product-market fit), financial modelling, and market analysis.
· Soft skills: Entrepreneurial mindset and team spirit, strong communication and negotiation skills in English, experience managing entrepreneur and investor relationships/matchmaking, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Language skills
· Fluency in English (and French), both oral and written. Other relevant languages are considered to be an asset.
