Parents whose children are fans of darts sensation Luke ‘the Nuke’ Littler are being alerted to a clever deal that means they can essentially get a magnetic dartboard for under £2. The Target Luke Littler Magnetic Dartboard Set is described as providing hours of entertainment and is appropriate for children aged three and over.
It typically retails at £17 from Argos, but there’s a method to secure it for considerably less. This comes through the money-saving website TopCashback, where new members who register here will receive a £15 welcome bonus when spending £15.
When the cashback is taken into account, it effectively slashes the price dramatically. New TopCashback members and first-time Argos shoppers will pay just £1.84 after cashback.
Meanwhile, current Argos customers will pay marginally more – £1.86 after cashback. Out of the 115 reviews posted so far, the item has achieved an average rating of 4.8 stars out of 5.
One satisfied customer commented: “This is an excellent item. The kids love it, especially with the darts on the TV now. They are getting into it. Helping them with their maths also, but I think I’m getting more fun out of it when they are at school”, reports Wales Online.
Another wrote: “Bought for a Christmas present for my grandchildren. Looks brilliant. I know they’ll love it as they love Littler.” A third added: “Fantastic, well-made product. Kids love it.”
Another commented: “I bought this a few weeks ago for my 10-year-old to play with. He has not stopped playing ever since I got it for him. It’s very safe for the children to play with, especially with it being magnetic.”
There was also a small amount of feedback flagged, including one buyer who said: “My only complaint is the design of the board, some numbers can’t be seen due to the graffiti effects – made to look like a old used dart board. If players are unfamiliar with the sequence of the numbers, this makes it difficult.”
Another said: “Enjoyable game but not very sturdy.”
Amazon also stocks the HelaCueil magnetic dartboard, priced at £14.99. That one hangs from a string so is unlikely to be as robust, and it also comes with 12 darts and is reversible.
It does have the added advantage of being easy to fold up and down to make it simple to move around or store. For older children and adults, a proper dartboard is more expensive but offers the authentic experience of playing darts like the professionals, although using sharp darts obviously comes with more danger, making it unsuitable for young children.
One such example is the Rift dartboard set, sold by Target. That’s priced at £39.99 and includes six 17g brass darts and a wall fixing kit for easy mounting.
