To borrow from Earth, Wind & Fire, do you remember dancing in September?
Ba-dee-ya! Remember how the stars stole the night away?
The 9 month of the year will be upon us soon, and on performances stages there’ll be lots of stars to steal the night away here in the bay area.
After a long, mostly-dry summer, concert venues and performance halls are seriously engaging again. In September, the biggest of the big rock concerts include Trent Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails (Benchmark Arena), My Chemical Romance (Raymond James Stadium), and Garbage (Jannus Live).
Country and Americana fan can welcome Alison Krauss & Union Station (the BayCare Sound), Hardy (Mid Florida Credit Union Amphitheatre), Lee Brice (the BayCare Sound), Jessie Murph (the Yuengling Center), Thomas Rhett (Mid Florida Credit Union Amphitheatre) and Scotty McCreey (Ruth Eckerd Hall).
There are a few funny guys dropping by, too, including Adam Sandler (Benchmark Arena), “Weird Al” Yankovic (the BayCare Sound), Tom Segura (Ruth Eckerd Hall) and Jimmy Carr (Tampa Theatre).
The Florida Orchestra makes several pre-regular season appearances at the Mahaffey Theater, including a film screening and concert called Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues, during which the man himself is scheduled to make an appearance.
Imagine if you will a month including visits from Trent Reznor, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Alison Krauss and Morgan Freeman?
Welcome to September. Ba-dee-ya!
