Sustainable Orillia is Hosting its Green Innovation Weekend
The Green Innovation Weekend, organized by Sustainable Orillia, will take place at Centennial Park on July 26 and 27, 2025. Now in its seventh year, the event has grown into its largest edition to date through partnerships with the Orillia District Chamber of Commerce’s Mardi Gras festival and Tourism Ontario’s social media promotion. Originally launched as a one-day electric vehicle showcase, the weekend has expanded into a two-day green marketplace featuring 32 vendors and exhibitors covering electric mobility, energy efficiency, eco-conscious consumer goods and more.
Attendees can collect an event passport at the Sustainable Orillia booth to learn how to enter a contest for an e-bike donated by Super E-Bikes. The diverse roster of participating organizations includes automotive dealers such as Subaru of Orillia and Orillia Volkswagen, clean energy providers like Lakeland EV Charging and Diamond Renewable Energy, as well as local businesses offering eco-friendly products and services. The event aims to engage the community in sustainable innovation by showcasing practical solutions and fostering connections among consumers, industry stakeholders and sustainability advocates.
