LL Cool J and Peyton Manning have officially teamed up for
“Hip Hop Was Born Here,” a five-part docuseries that explores the history of hip hop in New York City.
Co-created by LL Cool J and Manning, the series will include interviews with hip hop heavyweights such as Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Rev Run, Method Man, Roxanne Shante and more, and will take a deep dive into the creation and impact of hip hop on modern culture. Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Rock The Bells and Omaha Productions, the series is set to make its premiere on Tuesday, July 22 via the Paramount+ streaming app. in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Brazil.
The series will also premiere the following day internationally in the U.K., Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. “Hip Hop Was Born Here” will allow viewers to meet OG’s and future icons, while visiting the neighborhoods, studios and places that fostered early styles, as well as watching beloved artists analyze their favorite tracks.
