Time is running out for Alexander Isak to seal a dream move to Liverpool. The club have long admired the Swedish striker and saw a £110 million bid rejected earlier in the window.
Isak has been one of the standout transfer stories this summer after informing Newcastle of his desire to explore his options. However, the Tyneside club have remained firm in their stance that he is not for sale.
According to BBC Sport, Liverpool are preparing ‘one last effort’ to sign Isak before Monday’s 7pm deadline. For the move to succeed, however, ‘three dominoes would first need to fall into place’.
It is claimed Newcastle still need to sign two strikers and have Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart, Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen, and Yoane Wissa from Brentford on their radar. If one of those players were to reinforce Eddie Howe’s side, it could open the door for Liverpool to make a new bid for Isak.
However, to stand any chance of success, they would then likely need to offer more than £120m.
Elsewhere, Football Insider reports that Liverpool are considering a move for Morgan Rogers if RB Leipzig meet Harvey Elliott’s valuation. The Liverpool ECHO understands that the Reds would resist a late approach from Leipzig.
The Bundesliga club had been in discussions with Liverpool over the midfielder amid uncertainty over Xavi Simons’ future. Simons has since joined Tottenham, and it is expected that interest in Elliott will now intensify.

Finally, CF Bayern Insider reports that Liverpool and City are interested in Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, with Paris Saint-Germain also reportedly in the mix.
However, the German champions are not entertaining any offers at this time, making a deal highly unlikely. The report adds that despite rumours of an exit clause in the Frenchman’s contract, his deal in Germany does not include one.
