Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a Liverpool man who disappeared after a car crash in Widnes earlier this week. Mark Thompson, 57, from Aigburth, was involved in a single-vehicle collision on Watkinson Way on Monday, September 29, and has not been seen since.
Officers believe he was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which is registered in his name, and it is thought he walked away from the car before disappearing.
Mark is described as white, around 6ft tall, with a shaved head, a distinctive purple birthmark on his cheek and chin, and a barbed wire tattoo on his arm.
At the time he was last seen, he was wearing light green chino-style trousers, a blue or green T-shirt, brown shoes, and a blue jacket. He may also be carrying a grey rucksack.
Police are increasingly concerned for his welfare and are urging anyone who sees Mark to call 999 immediately so officers can ensure he is safe and well.
