The Nets (2-11) lost four straight before a win vs. the Wizards on Sunday.
At this time last week, it was suspected the Celtics had an opportunity to improve their record and build some momentum given their slate of upcoming opponents.
Boston, currently .500 for the first time since Oct. 31, has done that with three wins in its last four games. The Green now have the chance to improve to over .500 for the first time this season.
The Celtics face the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Tuesday night for the first of two games during a home-and-home. Boston will host Brooklyn in an NBA Cup matchup Friday night, as well.
The Nets rank 24th in offensive rating, 29th in defensive rating and 27th in overall net rating.
