
The Jackson dessert will be baked as a ‘tribute’ to the ‘King of Pop’
A ‘lifelike’ cake of Michael Jackson will be unveiled at a Birmingham NEC show next month.
The dessert of the extremely controversial ‘King of Pop’, who died in 2009, will be unveiled at Cake International as a ‘tribute’.
The event, which will run for three days between October 31 and November 2, is described as the ‘biggest cake decorating and baking event in the world’.

Cake artist Emma Jayne, known for baking ‘life-size cakes’ will unveil Jackson – who had serious child abuse allegations levelled at him during his life and also after he died – as a sweet treat at the event to ‘honour’ the late hitmaker.
Open to all, with a junior division for under-eighteens, the cake competition celebrates the creativity and skill of cake decorators worldwide.
Thousands of people are expected to flock to the show where countless desserts will be on display – some of which will have travelled to Birmingham from across the globe.

Workshops will provide visitors with an opportunity to learn from some of the most talented artists in the industry such as Andrew Fuller – best known for his appearances on Netflix’s hit show ‘Is It Cake?’
And with the event starting on Halloween, 70 cake artists have joined forces to deliver a ‘terrifying’ immersive walk-through display of ‘Cakenstein’.
It will feature sounds, smells, effects and sweet life-size edible figures including Dr Frankenstein and his monstrous creation and bride.

Celebrity cake artist and TV presenter Juliet Sear will be on hand sharing her expertise and inspiring visitors with live demonstrations.
Chef and TV star Cherish Finden has already joined as director of judging.
Awards will be handed out to participants at the event.
