What gets action from our wannabe action hero president? Climate change and its intensifying of hurricanes, floods, droughts and wildfires? Nope, these don’t even merit a federal authority with the expertise and rapid response ability of the old FEMA; states and citizens are on our own now. Trump’s interest is the crime rates, declining! in Washington, D.C., and other cities and the almost non-existent flag-burning during protests. These capture his focus. Or rather, his attempt to shift our focus. Cue the superhero NFTs.
What would he prefer we not be thinking about? Trump family financial windfalls? The increasing cost of food, and other necessities? Maybe after years of Epstein, Epstein, Epstein from Trump and his cohorts, their crickets, crickets, crickets response? Or after his promise I’ll end it day one! the war in Ukraine dragging on with him undercutting the very ally the U.S. gave security agreements to in exchange for giving up nuclear weapons in 1994? In fairness, Obama also abrogated that promise. Maybe how small your tax cut turns out to be compared with Musk’s, Daines’ and Sheehy’s. What’s your guess of what we aren’t suppose to notice?
