Former ONE featherweight kickboxing title challenger and Glory titleholder Marat Grigorian of Armenia is convinced that ‘Demolition Man’ Rukiya Anpo has bitten off way more than he can chew by facing him in his ONE Championship debut.
Grigorian is set to face Anpo in a three-round featherweight kickboxing tilt at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri, which will go down live on Sunday, Nov. 16, from Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Grigorian shared he’s out to destroy any hope Anpo has of making it big in ONE Championship in their upcoming fight.
The Armenian kickboxing icon said:
“I wasn’t surprised. That’s what he does. He’s hyped for his debut, but that doesn’t change anything. Let Rukiya talk about himself now. Let him dream about beating me. Let him dream about winning his debut. In Japan, I will tell you: I will crush his dreams.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to see Marat Grigorian and Rukiya Anpo go to war inside the Circle.

Marat Grigorian will take whatever Rukiya Anpo is willing to give him when the two meet at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Nov. 16, and he believes he will destroy the Japanese star when they touch gloves this weekend.
Grigorian said he expects a very direct fight when the two lock horns on Sunday night:
“He will start very directly, I think. He will start attacking, and he will be very sharp. And he will move a lot – not try to move and attack me, but he will move a lot and run away from me. But I’m ready to run with him and try to smash him.”
