Minister of Education and Higher Education of the Republic of Lebanon Dr. Rima Karami visited Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development today to view the Foundation’s vision and mission and to learn about its integrated system in the fields of education, science, research, and community development.
During the visit, Her Excellency attended an introductory presentation about Qatar Foundation and Education City from the balcony of the eighth floor of Building 2015, the Foundation’s main headquarters, where she met with a number of Qatar Foundation representatives specialized in higher education and pre‑university education.
The visit comes within the framework of strengthening academic cooperation and exchanging expertise; the role of Qatar Foundation and its contributions to the development of the education sector in the State of Qatar were discussed, alongside discussions on prospects for future education and digital transformation, and exploring opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation between educational institutions in the Republic of Lebanon and Qatar Foundation.
The visit also addressed potential areas of cooperation, including exchange of faculty members and researchers, enhancing student mobility across different academic stages, joint supervision of doctoral research, implementation of joint research projects, in addition to providing practical training opportunities for students, including short‑term internships and cooperative training.
