Laura Woods collapsed live on ITV while presenting coverage ahead of England Women’s game against Ghana.
Woods fell forward and collapsed towards Ian Wright and Anita Asante – who joined her as the two pundits. The pair attempted to hold the broadcaster up before she fell to ground.
ITV chose to cut to adverts, though audio briefly continued, capturing former Arsenal forward Wright checking on Woods before the programme switched to an advertising break.
Following the incident, fellow presenter Katie Shanahan stepped in to continue ITV’s coverage alongside Wright and Asante, who said that Woods had ‘taken ill’.
Shanahan said: “As you might have noticed, we don’t have the wonderful Laura Woods.
“She has just been taken ill and is in very good hands.”
Former Sky Sports presenter Woods is a regular on ITV and TNT Sports, where she presents coverage of the Champions League.
