Project Utilizes LLMs for Trading Strategies, Praised for AI Integration in Quant Investment
Kyobo Securities announced on the 26th that it has been selected as an outstanding project for the second consecutive year in the ‘Capstone Project’ of Seoul National University’s KDT (K-Digital Training) educational program.
The ‘KDT Capstone Project’ is an industry-academia collaboration program aimed at nurturing digital core talents, where company practitioners and trainees form teams to tackle real-world industry challenges.
In this project, Kyobo Securities presented the ‘Algorithm Trading Research MCP (Model Context Protocol),’ which was selected as an outstanding project.
This project is characterized by implementing a methodology that utilizes large language models (LLMs) to generate algorithmic trading strategies and systematically verify them through an MCP server. It received high praise, particularly for effectively integrating core AI technologies into practical applications by establishing a dedicated server specialized for quant investment.
Shin Hyun-cheol, head of Kyobo Securities’ Quant Management Department, stated, “This industry-academia collaboration is meaningful in that it has nurtured digital talents with practical skills,” and added, “We will continue to integrate the latest technologies like AI across financial services to provide advanced investment strategies and differentiated customer experiences.”
