KUWAIT: The Kuwait Times, the first English-language newspaper in the Arabian Gulf, established in 1961, successfully concluded the fourth edition of its Summer Program for 2025, on Monday, held in strategic partnership with the National Investments Company (NIC) from August 3rd to 31st. Over the four-week course, 20 students were immersed in the world of journalism, demonstrating diligence, creativity and a commitment to the field.
The Kuwait Times team enhanced participants’ knowledge and skills in news production, reporting, design and content creation. On this occasion, Dalal Madouh, Senior Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication at NIC, stated: “At National Investments Company, we believe in creating opportunities that empower young talent and strengthen Kuwait’s future workforce.” She added, “Our sponsorship of Kuwait Times’ internship program reflects our commitment to supporting aspiring professionals with the skills, mentorship and real-world exposure they need to thrive in their careers.”
For her part, Jana Alnaqeeb, Public Relations and CSR Manager at Kuwait Times and Kuwait News, said “The true success of our summer program is when I see young talents building lasting bonds in a fun, open environment — transforming us into the creative, youthful institute we aspire to be, like one big happy family.” As part of the program, students embarked on an enriching field trip to NIC, where they gained valuable insights into the company’s operations.
They learned practical guidance on how to build a strong social media brand voice and craft effective press releases, giving them valuable exposure to real-world communication strategies. The program concluded with a unique opportunity for participants to produce their own issue of Kuwait Times under the supervision of Kuwait Times team. Upon successful completion, students received certificates and had their work published in the newspaper.
