King Charles wants to “protect and prioritise our planet”.
The 76-year-old monarch is set to feature in a new TV film, provisionally titled Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision, which will air on Prime Video in 2026.
Charles said: “For much of my life I have sought to promote and encourage ways we can work with, rather than against Nature. In other words, to restore balance to our planet which is under such stress.
“Never has it been more important for the world to make a concerted effort to protect and prioritise our planet, and to restore our relationship with it. It is therefore my fondest hope that this film may encourage a new audience to learn about the philosophy of Harmony – and perhaps inspire the same sense of determination it has given me to help build a more sustainable future.”
The film has been directed by Nicolas Brown, who thinks it will leave people “feeling uplifted and motivated”.
Nicolas said: “This is a story of hope and resilience. People who watch this film will leave feeling uplifted and motivated. The King’s philosophy offers something for everyone. Mostly, he shows us the power of resilience – and how following your intuition can transform the world.”
The director explained that the film made him “aware of how important this story is”.
Nicolas said: “Remarkably few people around the world know the full depth of the King’s lifelong battle to bring nature and humanity into harmony. Even today, His Majesty’s work with The King’s Foundation is transforming the world in so many inspiring ways.”
Meanwhile, Charles previously described climate change as the “wolf at the door”.
The monarch joined forces with Tony Juniper, a former Friends of the Earth director, and Cambridge University climate scientist Emily Shuckburgh to write a book about the challenges and possible solutions to the issue of climate change.
In his foreword for the book, he wrote: “I hope this modest attempt to alert a global public to the ‘wolf at the door’ will make some small contribution towards encouraging requisite action; action that must be urgently scaled up, and scaled up now.”
