Fuse Collective is a private training studio and gym on Kay Brow with around 300 clients.

Fitness coach Ben Stanton, 27, from Edenfield, explained how the Fuse community has been working together to collect donations for food bank Ramsbottom Pantry this Christmastime.

Ben said: “We know that this typically a challenging time for families.

“At the start of December, we spoke to the team at Ramsbottom Pantry to see how we could help.

“We then asked our members to bring in non-perishable food items to help utilise the strong community we have and give something back.”

The Fuse team delivered their donation to the food bank last week, and Ben says the items received were “double” what he expected.

He added: “Volunteers at Ramsbottom Pantry were so grateful and we know it will go to those that need it most.

“The Fuse community have been really supportive. We left stock in a public area of the gym and it just seemed to multiply.

“It’s not always the stereotypical people you expect who use foodbanks; it can be those who work full time and young families are particularly impacted, especially with kids not in school over the Christmas break.

“It goes a long way and we are proud to be part of something bigger in our community. It was a real team effort”

Fuse Collective offers online coaching and opened a second location in Rawtenstall in March this year.

The team there have also been busy donating items to Rossendale food bank, The Raft Foundation, with Ben sharing that one of the members has used a food bank in the past.

Founded by Ashley Reece in 2016, Fuse Collective is no stranger to charitable acts, having previously supported organisations such as mental health group, Andys Man Club, and plans to work with Bury Hospice and Rossendale Hospice in the new year.

Those looking to donate to Ramsbottom Pantry and The Raft Foundation can find out more on their social media pages.
