KAPIT (July 20): Katibas assemblyman Lidam Assan has been carrying out the ‘Leader Meets People’ sessions at longhouses across his constituency.
The most recent was the programme held at Rumah Changgai in Nanga Tengangai, Sungai Tekalit in Song District near here
“It is from this session that I get to meet my rural constituents and hear first-hand the voices from the grassroots, and also to explain to them government policies and assistance,” said Lidam.
The programme at Rumah Changgai also included sessions conducted by the district police and its Fire and Rescue (Bomba) station, Song District Health Office and Song District Agriculture Office.
Song District officer Harry Bruce Edwin, and political secretary to federal Works Minister Ambrose Abong Bugek were also present.
