Justin Sun, founder of the Tron blockchain network, completed Blue Origin’s NS-34 mission on August 2, 2025. He traveled with five other crew members on the suborbital flight, which lasted about ten minutes. The Blue Origin NS-34 mission crossed the Kármán line at 100 kilometers altitude, the recognized boundary of space.
Sun secured his seat through a $28 million bid placed in 2021. His participation made him the youngest Chinese astronaut to join a Blue Origin spaceflight. The flight is part of Blue Origin’s commercial space program, which has now taken over 70 people past the edge of space.
A photo shared on X.com showed Sun after the landing of the Blue Origin NS-34 mission. This follows Chun Wang’s earlier spaceflight on a SpaceX orbital mission, where he became the first crypto entrepreneur to travel to space. Sun is the first blockchain industry figure to complete a Blue Origin spaceflight.
During the Blue Origin NS-34 mission, Sun experienced the “Overview Effect,” a shift astronauts report when viewing Earth from space.

Sun said after landing. He spoke about being surprised by how small Earth looked from the capsule. The Blue Origin NS-34 flight gave passengers around four minutes of weightlessness, allowing them to observe Earth’s curvature from above the Kármán line.
The Blue Origin NS-34 mission gave passengers a direct view of Earth from space and showed its limited scale. Moreover, each Blue Origin suborbital flight includes this experience and allows participants to see Earth before returning. Additionally, these flights expose passengers to space conditions briefly while ensuring a safe return to Earth.
The $28 million bid that secured Sun’s seat on the Blue Origin NS-34 mission was donated to Blue Origin’s Club for the Future. The foundation works on programs promoting STEM education and raising awareness about space technology.
Sun’s participation in the Blue Origin NS-34 mission connects blockchain figures with space initiatives. His role as the Tron founder adds relevance, as Tron currently has 320 million users worldwide and more than three million daily active addresses. The network also manages $82.6 billion in USDT on-chain issuance, reflecting its scale.
By completing the Blue Origin NS-34 mission, Sun became the youngest Chinese astronaut to cross the Kármán line, linking his name to both blockchain technology and commercial spaceflight milestones.
