
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th Jan, 2026) Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has announced the holding of a historic provincial conference in Mardan on April 12 ro unveil its future course of action against worsening law and order, corruption, and what it termed the government’s policies regarding religious seminaries.
The announcement was made following an important meeting of the Provincial Executive Committee (Majlis-e-Amla) of JUI-F Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, held at Federal Lodge in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Provincial Ameer Senator Maulana Ata-ur-Rehman.
The meeting was attended by senior party leaders including Senator Maulana Ata-ul-Haq Darvesh, Mufti Ubaidullah, Mufti Ziaullah, Abdul Jalil Jan, Muhammad Rahim Haqqani, Barrister Imad Advocate, Noor-ul-Islam, Sadaqat Khan, Muhammad Israr Marwat and Maulana Ahmed Ali Darvesh.
Provincial spokesperson Abdul Jalil Jan said that it was decided in the meeting that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will deliver a key address at the Mardan conference, covering national and international political developments.
He added that the conference would mark a decisive moment for the party’s stance on the prevailing political and security situation in the province.
The meeting also decided to convene an important gathering of the provincial Majlis-e-Shura, district amirs and organizers, parliamentary party members, tehsil mayors and nazims, and provincial conveners of party wings on Saturday, February 7, at 10:00 am at Mufti Mehmood Markaz, Peshawar.
According to the spokesperson, members of the provincial executive committee also met central ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad under the leadership of Maulana Ata-ur-Rehman, where detailed consultations were held on the province’s political landscape, organizational affairs, and other key issues.
On the occasion, the central ameer issued special directives to the provincial leadership.
The meeting expressed grave concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rising corruption, continued incidents of targeted killings in tribal and settled districts, and what it described as the provincial government’s apathy toward public safety.
The participants stated that the people of the province have been living in a state of insecurity for the past twelve years, while rulers remain indifferent to public suffering.
Strong concern was also voiced over the situation in Khyber Agency, Tirah, and other areas, where residents have reportedly been forced to migrate amid severe cold due to security operations.
The meeting regretted that the provincial government, chief minister, and local MNAs and MPAs have allegedly failed to support the affected population.
The provincial executive committee also expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned religious scholars, including Pir Zulfiqar Naqshbandi and Mufti Mukhtiaruddin, paying tribute to their religious, scholarly, and political services.
The meeting concluded with Senator Maulana Ata-ul-Haq Darvesh hosting a luncheon in honor of the executive committee members.
