AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry has “strongly” condemned the “terrorist” settler attacks against Palestinians, the latest of which was the assault on the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, resulting in the killing of three Palestinians and the injury of others.
The ministry held Israel, the occupying power, fully responsible for these attacks, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministry’s spokesperson Sufian Qudah reaffirmed the Kingdom’s “absolute” rejection of these assaults and the escalating settler violence targeting the Palestinian people amid the ongoing, dangerous Israeli escalation in the occupied Palestinian territory since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Qudah stressed that the attacks carried out by settlers in the occupied West Bank are a direct result of Israeli government policies that fuel violence.
He emphasized that the absence of accountability encourages settlers to commit further crimes against the Palestinian people.
He also reiterated the urgent need for an immediate stop to the aggression on Gaza and for reaching an agreement that leads to a permanent ceasefire, along with the swift delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip, which is facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, through relevant United Nations agencies.
