In a world increasingly becoming controlled by centralized systems – be it Big Tech, government overreach or corporate monopolies – a growing movement is emerging to reclaim autonomy, self-sufficiency and community resilience.
At the forefront of this movement is the Exit and Build Land Summit. The summit bringing together experts, homesteaders and freedom-seekers to share knowledge on off-grid living, regenerative agriculture and decentralized technologies. The Health Ranger Mike Adams sat down with John Bush, the summit’s founder, to discuss the importance of escaping centralized control, building sustainable communities and preparing for an uncertain future. The event was structured to provide practical skills, networking opportunities and mindset shifts for attendees looking to escape dependency on failing systems. Adams emphasized the urgency of the summit’s mission with America on the verge of World War III, financial collapse and government overreach. The Health Ranger stressed the need for building a local network, the skills of permaculture food production, and the ability to barter and trade which he said is critical.
A recurring theme in the discussion was the necessity of decentralization – removing reliance on government-controlled systems in favor of self-sufficient, community-driven alternatives. Bush highlighted how monoculture farming (pushed by corporate agribusiness) has depleted soil health and biodiversity.
In contrast, permaculture and regenerative agriculture work with nature, not against it. “Permaculture is a valuable skill set and design framework for food and land and everything,” Bush said.
Adams commented that if people stop poisoning the land with herbicides like 2,4-D, it becomes a food forest for fruits, vegetables, trees and habitat for animals without planting anything. He shared his experience with PEX irrigation systems, a more durable alternative to traditional PVC, illustrating how small practical shifts make homesteading more efficient.
Adams also revealed plans to showcase “Neo’s Ark” — an offline AI [artificial intelligence] knowledge system designed to function without internet dependency. According to him, this tool can still answer questions about permaculture, medicinal herbs and survival skills even if the internet gets shut down. This is because it is a decentralized AI that resists censorship.
Both Adams and Bush stressed the importance of alternative financial systems, such as Bitcoin and Monero, to escape central bank manipulation. Bush cautioned against custodial crypto solutions (e.g., ETFs managed by Coinbase), advocating for self-custody instead.
Adams noted that people who don’t hold their own keys don’t own their crypto because the government can seize assets held by exchanges. Local currencies and barter networks were also highlighted as viable post-collapse solutions.

Adams and Bush agreed that balance is key. According to Bush, the founder of Live Free Academy, some people in the freedom movement reject AI outright. In contrast, hyper-tech folks ignore practical sustainability.
Bush continued that humanity can benefit from the use of powerful technologies. True enough, the summit encouraged integrating modern knowledge (like AI) with ancient practices (like permaculture) to create resilient, sovereign communities.
Bush warned that many awakened individuals fall into “hypnotic rhythm” – returning to daily grind rather than preparing for systemic collapse.
“We need to be taking action,” he told Adams. We need to be skilling up right now to prepare ourselves for what’s to come. You don’t want to find yourself in a situation where SHTF.”
