In an official statement, the embassy stated its intention to add a professional with expertise in culture, communication, commerce, and business to its team. This individual will work under the guidance of the Deputy Head of Mission. The position is a six-month full-time contract, requiring a 37.5-hour workweek.
The primary goal of this role is to enhance the embassy’s presence and visibility in Cuba. This will be achieved through organizing cultural and commercial events and coordinating with local institutions and stakeholders engaged in bilateral exchanges with the Netherlands.
Key duties include developing, organizing, and managing embassy-sponsored events, assisting in the participation of the diplomatic mission in fairs and cultural or business activities in Cuba, drafting press releases, and updating official social media. Additionally, the role involves maintaining connections with both Cuban and Dutch institutions and monitoring cooperation projects supported by the embassy.
Applicants should hold a university degree, possess advanced proficiency in both Spanish and English, and have at least three years of relevant professional experience. Skills in communication, event management, digital tools, social media, and visual design software like Canva are also valued.
