MANILA, Philippines — Eight-time Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Best Setter Jia De Guzman is set to make her return to the Creamline Cool Smashers.
De Guzman herself announced this development at the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) forum on Tuesday albeit she didn’t specify when she will be with Creamline again.
“Of course, I’m going back to Creamline but I went to a team that knows that I have responsibilities also for the flag,” said De Guzman, replying to an inquiry about her Creamline return.
Apparently, De Guzman, 30, will make her Creamline and PVL return after her duties with Alas Pilipinas. She last saw action with Creamline at the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference.
After a runner-up finish in the aforementioned tourney, De Guzman played two seasons with the Denso Airybees and won a championship with the team at the 2023-2024 Division 1 Women’s V Cup in Japan V. League
