On I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, the campmates were left in tears after receiving heartfelt pictures from their loved ones. One particularly touching moment saw TV personality Alex Scott open up about her partner, singer Jess Glynne, whom she hopes to marry one day.
Scott described her relationship as life-changing, telling her fellow campers Ruby Wax and Shona McGarty: “I think before her, I never knew happiness.”
The couple, who have been together for over two years, initially kept their romance private. Speaking about their first meeting, Scott said: “She approached me in Chiltern Firehouse… I was in there with my friends and she just walked up to me… (it was) really ballsy and I was like, I like your ballsiness, and then the spark was just instant and then yeah… we fell madly in love.”
When Wax teased about the possibility of marriage, Scott joked: “I will get married to her, just waiting for her to ask, Rubes!” Jess has now shared a playful response on Instagram. She posted late on Tuesday evening: “I better go get a ring,” along with a ring emoji.
The social media post gives a positive impression that Alex may not need to wait too long for Jess to pop the question and for them to get married. The sports pundit has been romantically linked to the British singer since the summer of 2023 but she said in camp they had been together for two-and-a-half years.
Despite often keeping their personal lives private, the couple have made a number of high-profile red carpet appearances together, including at the BRIT Awards, where their chemistry did not go unnoticed by fans.
While they have mostly stayed tight-lipped about the romance in public, Jess, once gave fans a glimpse into her happiness on Ferne Cotton’s podcast, revealing that she is “really happy” in the relationship.
Meanwhile, Alex opened up about their romance in interviews, giving a rare insight into how the relationship has allowed her to have her “walls come down.”
Speaking to Women’s Health UK last year, the sports pundit explained: “I’m in this bubble at the moment… I am more open to accepting and being more vulnerable and I’m absolutely enjoying this stage.
“I’m enjoying being like, okay, I’m just gonna roll with this. I think, before, I was very walls up. All those walls have, like, come down.”
The episode also featured rapper Aitch taking on a daring Bushtucker trial, singing Ant & Dec’s biggest hit while handling snakes in a bid to win meals for the campmates. Meanwhile, other campmates took part in a dark room challenge, where they had an opportunity to win a photo from home for each of the 10 campmates.
