
There have been some big changes announced by ITV for their Saturday scheduling. This includes changes to the popular show James Martin’s Saturday Morning. James first began presenting Saturday Kitchen on BBC One, from 2006 to 2016, before leaving the BBC.
He then began presenting Saturday Morning with James Martin, which is now James Martin’s Saturday Morning, and the show has been extended. It will now run until 12pm on Saturdays, giving viewers more celebrity guest interviews and cooking tips.
This means the show will start at 9.30am on Saturdays and run for two and half hours.
The scheduling change will begin in 2026, in January, with no exact air date announced yet.

Alongside new James Martin will be a brand new series with Ainsley Harriott plus the return of TV favourite Prue Leith.
After an impressive run of series one and two, Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen will return to ITV for a highly anticipated third series.
Continuing to charm audiences with her signature warmth and delicious recipes, Prue and her husband John, will be inviting more guests into their picturesque Cotswolds home.
Viewers will then be treated to an extended version of James Martin’s Saturday Morning, which will now run until midday.
The popular chef’s style and passion for food will fill a generous slot across two and half hours, promising a feast of great recipes, celebrity guests and lively entertainment.
Following James, the much-loved Ainsley Harriott will embark on a vibrant culinary adventure in a brand-new 30 minute show, Ainsley’s Taste of the Bahamas, where he will explore the rich flavours and culture of the Caribbean.
In 2025, James Martin’s Saturday Morning series eight delivered the largest audience share since it began in 2017 (680k), and the show was up 8% against the 2024 slot average.
