The 86th Annual Eagle County Fair and Rodeo returns this week in Eagle with all the fun events you’d hope to find at a county fair and a professional rodeo. The fair and carnival rides kick off on Wednesday and run through Saturday.
Sun Valley Rides Carnival will provide a classic Ferris wheel ride and the more exciting “Space Shuttle” and “Ripsaw” rides and more. Look for your arcade games and prizes on the midway, too.
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association brings in top cowboy and cowgirl talent as well as top livestock talent for events like bull riding, bronc riding, steer wrestling, bareback riding, team roping and more. It also adds entertainment like the local Freedom Riders Drill Team, rodeo clowns and activities for the kids like mutton bustin’.
Get rodeo ready with the help of the Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa in Avon with activities, shopping experiences and events with western flair. On Tuesday, meet this year’s Rodeo Royalty. The Westin Riverfront is hosting a community autograph signing and photo opportunity with the Eagle County Fair and Rodeo Royalty in the hotel lobby from 3-4:30 p.m. where you can meet the 2025 Eagle County Fair and Rodeo queen, Leila Devins and princess, Allie Gallegos.
Devins is a junior at Battle Mountain High School and has also been riding horses her whole life and shows at western, hunter/jumper, gymkhanas and rodeos. She’s been involved with 4-H since 2017 and has been a part of the Freedom Riders Drill Team since 2022.
Gallegos is a sophomore at Eagle Valley High School and has also been riding horses her whole life. She’s been showing at gymkhanas and has been in 4-H since 2019. She has also been a member of the Freedom Riders Drill Team since 2023. Devins and Gallegos will be wearing all the rodeo royalty duds at the Westin Riverfront, so bring the little buckaroos out to get an autograph and a photo with them before all the rodeo action.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, there will be live music and country dancing at the east end of the Eagle County fairgrounds from 9:30-11 p.m. Troy Harris will perform on Thursday and Mark Powell & Lariat will take the stage on Friday and Saturday. Get ready for the dance floor by attending the Westin Riverfront’s Moves & Grooves country line dancing class on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Bring your boots and your best country spirit for this high-energy class held outside on The Westin’s Gondola Plaza. This event is open to the community with a suggested donation to The Community Market.
The Westin Riverfront’s signature restaurant, Stoke & Rye, is getting into the cowboy spirit by serving a special Old Fashioned Outlaws cocktail, made with Garrison Brothers Small Batch Bourbon, demerara, orange bitters and tobacco bitters and served smoked tableside.
