Mr Issifu Seidu Kudus Gbeadese, Executive Secretary to the Managing Director of Ghana Water Limited and a Board Member of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency, has announced his intention to contest the position of Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress in the Savannah Region.
His declaration follows the NDC’s announcement of its timetable for the election of party executives at all levels. As part of the party’s reorganisation process, the National Executive Committee has directed that government appointees, with the exception of board members, must resign from their positions six months before the internal elections.
Mr Kudus Gbeadese is a long serving activist of the NDC who has consistently committed his time, energy and resources to advancing the party’s cause in the Damongo Constituency, the Savannah Region and at the national level. He is noted for his vocal defence of the party and its leader, former President John Dramani Mahama, particularly during periods when many were reluctant to speak out.
He is a blogger and columnist with Modern Ghana and has published more than 100 articles on the platform, in addition to several others on his personal blog. His writings are widely described as incisive, factual and critical of government policies.
Academically, Mr Kudus Gbeadese is an Economic Policy student with a Master’s degree in Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and an LLB from Wisconsin International University College. He is awaiting a call to the Bar in April 2026.
Within the NDC, he has served in several roles, including as a constituency communicator in Damongo, a member of the Regional Communication Team, Secretary to the Regional Research Team in 2019 and 2022, a member of the Regional Research Team and a member of the Savannah Regional Legal Team.
Mr Kudus Gbeadese has indicated that the grassroots of the party in the Savannah Region have long anticipated his decision to formally offer himself for service, a move he believes will further strengthen the party’s organisation and effectiveness in the region.
