Two insider reports on Saturday hinted that Sumrall and Florida might be a match, with ESPN’s Pete Thamel calling him the “clear favorite” for the Gators job.
Lane Kiffin decision updates: Latest news on Ole Miss or LSU
CBS Sports’ Brandon Marcello reported that Florida had pulled ahead of Auburn earlier in the day on Saturday for Sumrall’s services. He also added that Ole Miss could be in the mix for the Tulane coach if Lane Kiffin leaves for LSU.
A decision for Sumrall should come soon. Florida fans should be very excited if Sumrall is the guy.
