Famous journalist Iqrar ul Hassan has condemned PTI and Imran Khan, claiming that the party will not be able to free Khan. According to him, this can only be done by a new political movement. Journalist and TV host Iqrar ul Hassan has taken a strong stance against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its chairman Imran Khan.
In interviews, Hassan said that while he respects Khan’s personal contributions, he views PTI as unable to free him. “Don’t expect PTI to secure Khan’s release even in the next 100 years,” he said. He added that a party where members do not trust each other cannot deliver results.
Hassan criticized PTI for its internal divisions, aggressive social media culture, and what he called administrative failures during Khan’s tenure. He noted that popularity alone cannot replace governance skills and stable leadership.
Hassan has also condemned political revenge despite the criticism. According to him, Imran Khan should not be a victim of unfair treatment and political differences should not result in victimization.
In an attempt to do so, Hassan proclaimed a new political party aimed at the end of political revenge and citizens empowerment. According to him, the party is going to be structured at a national level with the aim being a new Pakistan that keeps the promises. It is set to launch on January 15, 2026 and planning is ongoing on future elections.
Hassan stressed that it is not PTI that will be able to achieve the release of Imran Khan and stop the further political abuse; however, it is a new movement. He created a picture of the party as a remedy to the present political gaps in Pakistan.
This announcement has attracted the attention of media and social sites and has raised debates among the supporters and opponents of PTI. The emphasis of governance, accountability, and political reform by Hassan makes the new party one of the possible opposition to the upcoming elections.
