Venture capitalist Chris Burniske is predicting Ethereum’s (ETH) biggest rival may be gearing up for an explosive move this month.
Burniske tells his 327,700 followers on the social media platform X that Solana (SOL) may soon benefit from investors rotating capital after ETH’s current breakout rally cools down.
“SOL could be gearing up for a monster monthly, if it gets its rotation time in the sun after ETH’s big push then alts should experience a breath of fresh air.”
Next up, Burniske outlines one bullish scenario for top crypto assets by market cap that would lead to a “more explosive of a grand finale” in the current cycle.
“Looking good on this: would be ideal for ETH and SOL to set up near former ATHs (all-time highs), before BTC pushes again.”
He also predicts that the Solana ecosystem will have a resurgence.
“SOL and quality SPLs (Solana Program Library tokens) are sniffing out what comes next.”
Lastly, Burniske says that the Bitcoin dominance (BTC.D) chart is signaling bullishness for SOL and other altcoins.
BTC.D tracks how much of the crypto market cap belongs to Bitcoin. A bearish BTC.D chart indicates that altcoins are gaining value faster than Bitcoin.

Ethereum is trading for $4,687 at time of writing, up 4.9% in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, Solana is trading for $198 at time of writing, up 9.5% in the last 24 hours.
