In these times of Global unrest, the list of countries that New Hampshire residents are told not to travel has changed and the list has gotten longer from last year.
According to travel.state.gov, the countries below are classified as LEVEL 4, DO NOT TRAVEL destinations for New Hampshire and the rest of the United States.

Why Are These Countries on the Do Not Travel List for New Hampshire Travelers?
When a Country is at a Level 4 Do Not Travel list the U.S. will have very limited or no ability to help any U.S. Citizen. The U.S. has declared the countries dangerous for the following reasons:
* Crime: A U.S. citizen has an increased chance of being the victim of a violent crime.
* Terrorism: Specific terrorist threats exist.
* Unrest: Political protests or demonstrations may threaten your physical safety
* Health: Poor medical infrastructure
* Natural Disaster: There is no safety risk, however, the aftermath of a natural disaster is dangerous.
* Time Limited Event: A short term event like an election or a sporting event may post elevated safety risk.
* Kidnapping or Hostage Taking: U.S. residents are in danger of kidnapping or being taken as a hostage in order to make the U.S. comply with demands.
* Wrongful Detention: A U.S. Citizen may be wrongfully detained to influence U.S. government policies.
* Other: Miscellaneous threats to any U.S. citizen.
New Hampshire Residents are Encouraged to Explore the U.S.
Instead of taking a risk and traveling to the destinations below, consider exploring states that you have not yet been to in the U.S. I can tell you from my limited travel, the Northwest is a stunning part of our Country. My step-son lives in Seattle and we have been out to see him. The Mountains are breathtaking.
If there’s a place like Yellowstone National Park that you’ve always wanted to see, maybe opt for that trip instead.
