Ranchi, July 27: The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department of BIT Mesra concluded the two-day International Conference on Communication and Smart Devices (ICCoSD) with insightful sessions from renowned national and international experts.
The second day of the conference began with an online plenary session by Dr. Sumit Chakraborty, Associate Professor at Kennesaw State University, USA, who spoke about the importance of 5G technologies and UAV applications in modern communication systems.
This was followed by a talk by Professor Ganapati Panda, Research Advisor at C.V. Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar. He discussed signal processing techniques and their applications in medical science and daily life.
Dr. Rajeev Kumar Ranjan, Associate Professor at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, delivered a session on Nano electronics and VLSI technologies, focusing on memristor-based emulator design.
Dr. Manish Okade, Associate Professor at NIT Rourkela, highlighted the applications of Blockchain Technology, particularly in cybersecurity, blockchain-based degrees, and central banking systems.
Post-lunch, six technical sessions were held, during which 47 research papers were presented. The sessions were chaired by Dr. Vijay Nath, Dr. K.K. Senapati, and Dr. S.S. Sahu.
The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony held in Seminar Hall-1 of the R&D Building, where Dr. Gajendra Kumar Mishra reflected on the success and key takeaways of the conference.
Conference Chairman Professor Sanjay Kumar highlighted ongoing research activities within the department, while Professor S.S. Solanki, Dean of Postgraduate Studies, presented the conference outcomes.
The Chief Guest of the valedictory session was Nancy Sahay, IAS, from the Directorate of Municipal Administration, Urban Development & Housing Department, Government of Jharkhand.
All research papers presented at the conference will be published in the Scopus-indexed IEEE Xplore digital library.
