In-N-Out says 3 Middle Tennessee restaurants will open ‘soon’. Here are which ones

In-N-Out Burger’s website has designated three Middle Tennessee restaurants that are part of the company’s expansion into the state as “opening soon.”

Those restaurants are:

In-N-Out did not provided firm opening dates for the three future restaurants beyond “sometime by early 2026,” according to an email from the West Coast based company known for double burgers and animal style fries.

The company has also started the hiring process for the Lebanon, Antioch and Murfreesboro restaurants. Each restaurant lists a starting pay of $17.50 per hour, which Lebanon Economic and Community Development Director Sarah Haston describes as “competitive wages.”

In-N-Out previously estimated the application process would open by mid-September with interviews likely to begin in October, though those “details are still being finailzed,” an email from In-N-Out said. Typically, In-N-Out starts interviews four to six weeks before an estimated opening date, according to the company.

Whether the timeline to open had moved up isn’t immediately known.

The Lebanon restaurant is expected to open with around 40 employees with hiring to continue based on need, In-N-Out Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick estimated in August. Now hiring signs have gone up at the Lebanon restaurant, Haston said.

“All of our meetings have been pleasant and cooperative.” Haston said. “They are the exact type of business we want off of South Hartmann Drive because they are going to pull from such a far reach and new travelers will get off of I-40 to experience Lebanon.”

In-N-Out Burger is moving forward on more Middle Tennessee restaurants that are in different stages of development as the company expands. A new eastern territory corporate office is also under construction in Franklin.

The In-N-Out corporate hub will include an onsite restaurant in the Berry Farms area on Goose Creek Bypass near I-65. Work is underway on the restaurant, said Nathan Zipper, chief economic development officer of Williamson Inc. The corporate office is estimated to bring 275 jobs to the area.

Other area restaurants In-N-Out is moving forward with include:

Hendersonville: A preliminary site plan is approved for a new restaurant at 100 N. Anderson Lane, at the corner of East Main Street where a former Exxon station operated.

Madison: A revised plan is approved for a future restaurant at 1000 Rivergate Parkway at the northeast corner of Cude Lane and Gallatin Pike, near RiverGate Mall. Multiple permits have been applied for to move forward on construction.

Smyrna: In-N-Out submitted a site plan to build a restaurant at 999 Industrial Boulevard. The site plan was deferred in July for more consideration of traffic flow and the proposed architectural designs and was scheduled to go before the Smyrna Planning Commission on Sept. 4.

Mt. Juliet: In-N-Out had identified a site at Golden Bear Gateway and Old Beckwith Road and gained a design waiver approval, but the company apparently backed away from the location. Mt. Juliet is working with In-N-Out on another location. “We have sent In-N-Out potential sites for a location in Mt. Juliet, we remain committed to help them find a home here in our city,” Mt. Juliet Director of Development Services and Economic Development Jennifer Hamblen said.
