PTI senator Ali Zafar said Imran Khan had prevented Ali Amin Gandapur from making new public statements and called him to a meeting tomorrow in prison. However, Khan did not suggest removing Gandapur from the post of chief minister.
Addressing media outside of Adiala prison after the hearing of the Toshakhana 2 affair, Ali Zafar said that Imran Khan also prevented Ali Amin and Aleema Khan from making statements against each other.
Imran Khan expressed his disappointment at the public exchange of accusations between the two. He said internal disputes only benefit from political opponents and must be discussed in private.
Imran Khan asked Ali Amin Gandapur to visit him in prison tomorrow for a detailed discussion. He also appointed four new coordinators today. The newly formed team will now manage all political meeting hours.
Senator Ali Zafar said Imran Khan respects the authority of the chief minister and considers that he has the right to make administrative changes if necessary. There was no discussion on the deletion of Gandapur from his post.
In another key development, Imran Khan appointed Mehmood Khan Achakzai as head of the opposition to the National Assembly. This decision came because the legal proceedings against the head of the PTI, Omar Ayub, are still underway. Until these cases end, Achakzai will represent the opposition.
These decisions aim to mitigate internal tensions within the party and to strengthen the political coordination of the PTIS. Imran Khan underlined unity and discipline among the ranks of parties during this difficult period.
