
MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has submitted more evidence against former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Documents dated July 1 that comprise the 11th batch of evidence related to allegations of crimes against humanity were submitted by Deputy Prosecutor Mame Mandiaye Niang, detailing 1,062 items organized under various thematic categories.
Under the Davao Death Squad Murder category, seven items were included relating to murders committed during Duterte’s mayoral period; under Barangay Clearance Operations, the second package included 435 items connected to murders during his presidential term; the High-Value Targets theme details crimes related to high-profile targets during the Duterte administration.
Meanwhile, the Modes of Liability package consisted of 86 items that outline the various liabilities associated with the alleged crimes.
Additionally, six items suggest a line of defense for Duterte, while various packages provide background information material to aid in the preparation of his defense, totaling 240 items.

Duterte is being held at the ICC detention facility in The Hague, Netherlands, as he awaits trial for alleged crimes committed during his controversial drug war.
A pre-trial hearing took place on March 14, and the confirmation of charges was scheduled for September 23.
