In what was also his first game in front of the home support at Sixways Stadium, Spandler went over for Warriors’ first two tries of the match, alongside being integral to Warriors’ set-piece dominance.
On set-pieces, the hooker explained: “It was a big focus this week.
“Especially as a relatively new squad in general but also coming in as a loan player, you spend a lot of time especially on scrums and line-outs, making sure you’ve got the detail right.
“Very happy with how that went, very happy with how the drill was in the line-out.
“Everybody knew their role, it makes my life so much easier when that is the case.”

Spandler added that despite spending just three weeks with the side to this point, he feels he has been with them a lot longer.
“Sixways has an amazing atmosphere,” he said. “It was my first Sixways game, I played Hartpury last week. (Matt) Everard made sure I was here the week before against Coventry just to feel the atmosphere.
“It is an amazing place, it’s great that rugby is back.
“It feels like I’ve been here for months but in reality I’ve only been here for three weeks.
“It’s been amazing, a great experience. Great set of coaches and a great set of players.
“It’s amazing. Regardless of how long I’m here, I hope I can play many more games for Worcester – it is truly special to be here.”
