For those on the hunt for a beauty advent calendar that truly delivers – or would like the items inside as gifts for Christmas – the Wonders Advent Calendar 2025 is causing a stir. Having sold out for three consecutive years, this collection features 12 award-winning skincare gems worth an astonishing £935, available now for just £99, or even less with the code WONDERS (£89). To ensure it lives up to its reputation, editor Phoebe Barton has put it through its paces below.
From revitalising serums to deeply nourishing creams, the products are made with sustainably sourced natural ingredients that rejuvenate, renew and reconnect customers with nature, according to the brand. For the first time ever, the Wonders Advent Calendar includes a magical augmented reality experience: scan the front to see bees, butterflies and a fairy harvesting natural ingredients come to life.
A few fortunate shoppers will discover a Golden Ticket worth up to £1,000 in Avant Skincare prizes. Within the actual calendar, customers can get their hands on one of this year’s standout products – the full-sized Pro-Intense Hyaluronic Acid Illuminating Day Cream, a previous winner at the Vegan Beauty Awards.
This formula is designed to ‘smooth fine lines, deeply hydrate and restore radiance’. Moreover, 97% of users have agreed that their skin looks and feels smoother after using this cream, as per the site, reports the Mirror.
There are additional products including the Damascan Rose Petals Revitalising Facial Serum, RNA Radical Anti Ageing and Lifting Duo Moisturiser, Blue Volcanic Stone Purifying and Antioxidising Cleansing Gel, Hyaluronic Acid Molecular Boost Eye Cream, Hyaluron-Filler Lip Plumping Treatment, Bi-Phase Hyaluronic Acid Rejuvenating Micellar Water, Centifolia Rose Radiance Capturing Mask. Furthermore, there’s the Deluxe Hyaluronic Acid Vivifying Face and Eye Night Cream, Gentle Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliant, Brightening and De-Puffing Hyaluronic Overnight Eye Recovery Mask and a Pro-Perfecting Collagen Primer Touche Eclat.
Alternative options include The Beauty Advent Calendar for £105 at LookFantastic, originally valued at £655 and currently selling rapidly. This features 28 products, 17 of which are full-sized and encompass brands such as MAC, Color Wow and Sol de Janeiro.
Another choice is the M&S The Beauty Advent Calendar 2025 for £60 reduced from £330 that includes 25 products spanning skincare to haircare.
Customers have expressed their opinions on the Wonders Advent Calendar, with numerous buyers offering glowing reviews. Affiliates Content Editor Phoebe Barton said: “One of the products made my jaw drop when I unwrapped it; the Damascan Rose Petals Revitalising Facial Serum. Priced at £114 when bought individually, the stunning 30ml bottle contains pretty pale pink rose petals that can be seen floating in the serum which is enriched with these ‘precious’ petals and Orchid extract.
“Another product I’m eager to test is the Hyaluron-Filler Lip Plumping Treatment (RRP £69), as my lips become rather parched during the colder months. The brand claims the product works to deliver ‘deep hydration and plump the lips while reducing fine lines,” she adds.
“It’s formulated with Hyaluronic Acid which aims to ‘enhance natural volume and smoothness’. Avant says the lip treatment is perfect for daily use, as it can be worn alone or under lipstick, so there’s no doubt I’m going to be reaching for it every day throughout autumn and winter,” Barton writes.
On the Avant website, another person said: “This is by far the best skincare advent calendar I’ve ever bought and I’ve bought a few over the years! The products are excellent and have already made a huge difference to my skin. It is so good I bought two and will use the products as gifts for my girlfriends. Brilliant value for money.”
Some others disagreed, however, as one buyer said: “I feel the products are great. Love the the scent, the feeling of the skin care. However, the instructions are are very small to read on the products itself. Suggestion, increase the size of font, or potentially have card of of regime, would be extremely helpful.”
However, the majority of customers were delighted, with one shopper exclaiming: “Incredible, beautiful and absolutely great value for money. I got four, one for me, my mother, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Although I didn’t buy them all myself. I have a few products so now I can have enough to last me all year!”
