
Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation Honored at 3rd Korea Public ESG Management Awards for Exemplary Governance and Policy Alignment
The Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) announced on the 2nd that it won the Grand Prize in the K-ESG Implementation Evaluation category at the 3rd Korea Public ESG Management Awards ceremony held on December 30 of last year.
The Korea Public ESG Management Awards, organized by the Korea Public ESG Research Institute and hosted by the office of Rep. Lee So-young, aim to evaluate the ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management levels of public institutions and spread exemplary cases.
The K-ESG Implementation Evaluation assesses 66 items based on the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s K-ESG guidelines, reflecting factors such as public institutions’ governance structures, government policies, management evaluations, and external assessment indicators.
Yoon Myung-gyu, acting president of HUG, stated, “This award is the result of our continuous efforts to fulfill our ESG management responsibilities as a public institution,” adding, “We will actively pursue ESG management that creates value that citizens can feel in the future.”
