
IDC has now released the Q2 2025 global wearable market analysis, where Huawei has appeared at the top for excellent sales performance. The tech giant has sold nearly 10 million smartwatches this time, taking over its rivals like Xiaomi and Apple.
According to the report, Huawei has shipped 9.9 million smartwatches in the Q2 2025 global wearable market. That’s about 1 million exceed than last year (same period) results.
Speaking of the market share, Huawei has achieved 20.2% of the global wearable segment and ranked first. The overall growth rate is 11.7% year-on-year.
The special credit for this achievement goes to Watch 5, which entered the market with some “first-time” features. It is the world’s first wearable with X-Tap technology that lets you scan your health report with just a touch.
On the flip side, the Watch Ultimate Green Edition and Watch D2 have contributed to the company’s wearable sales segment. Together, all these wrist gadgets helped the firm to gain profit in the smartwatch sector.
As for now, Huawei is preparing to launch some more dynamic wearables in the second half of this year. The OEM has scheduled a grand global event for September 19 to unveil Watch GT 6 series, Watch Ultimate 2, and a new Watch D2 variant.
Coming to other brands, Xiaomi ranked second with 9.5 million unit sales and 19.3% market share. It is seeing the highest growth rate among all the competitors in the global wearable race.
Apple approached the third position with 7.4 million unit shipments and 15% of the market share. It has witnessed 28.8% year-on-year growth in Q2 2025.
Samsung captured the fourth spot and sold around 3.2 million smartwatches in the global market for the second quarter of this year. It owns 6.5% of the market share but has slipped in annual progress by 2.1% YoY. You can check all other brands below.
