The newest No. 1 overall has been involved with Gatorade since the start of his lone season at Duke.
Gatorade wasted no time celebrating Cooper Flagg’s NBA draft selection by the Dallas Mavericks.
Just a few hours after the Duke star heard his name called at No. 1 overall, Gatorade shared a behind-the-scenes look at a video shoot with Flagg. In the 12-second video, Flagg is asked how the company should celebrate his drafting.
He offered future-focused response.
“Don’t,” Flagg said. “I’ll let you know when there’s something to celebrate.”

Along with the video, Gatorade is launching a Flagg-themed squeeze bottle. The art on the bottle emphasizes Flagg’s Maine roots and a nod to his family’s support system. The phrase “WIN” is also written on the side.

Flagg is the newest NBA star to be sponsored by Gatorade, which claims a long list of star-studded athletes, including former Mavericks guard Luka Doncic. Flagg was involved with Gatorade ahead of his lone season at Duke, joining Paige Bueckers as one of the company’s featured college athletes.
The brand honored Bueckers, the No. 1 overall pick of the WNBA draft, in a similar fashion when she won her first home game with the Dallas Wings, presenting her with a limited edition Shirley Temple flavor.

Flagg joined an exclusive club Wednesday night as the second player to be selected by the Mavericks at No. 1 overall after Mark Aguirre in 1981.
