Three homes were targeted in a spate of break-ins in Coventry. Burglars have recently struck properties in Longford.

Police received reports of a burglary on Rowleys Green Lane between 3am and 3.30am on Monday, November 17. Someone is believed to have stolen a camcorder before fleeing.

Pearson Avenue saw a second burglary and an attempted break-in overnight from 6.30pm on November 19 to 9.50am on November 20. Thieves smashed the front window during the burglary, according to Coventry Police.

It is not yet known if anything was stolen from the property, and inquiries are ongoing. Intruders smashed the rear door in the attempted burglary but fled after being disturbed.

Vehicles have also recently been targeted in Longford. One parked at Arena Shopping Park had its front registration plate removed between 2.30pm and 4pm on November 15.

Police said the second incident happened on Jackers Road between 1pm on November 15 and 11.15am on November 16. Tools and property keys were stolen from a Nissan Qashqai.

Maple Walk saw a third incident between 9.30pm on November 17 and 9.30am on November 18. Police said a wallet was stolen from a BMW.

Anyone with information about the incidents is urged to get in touch with West Midlands Police. Details can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We would like to remind residents to ensure that they are adequately protecting their vehicles and properties against theft, particularly as the dark nights are upon us.

“If you have information about people committing crime that you want to tell us about, you can contact us on the non-emergency telephone number 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.”
