Early Week: Token Launches and Buybacks
The week kicks off on Monday, Sept. 29, with the launch of the Monad (MONAD) token and a planned treasury buyback of Ronin’s RON token. These moves are expected to draw attention to smaller-cap projects even as the broader market remains under pressure.
Tuesday, Sept. 30: Swaps, Payments, and Regulation
Tuesday brings the conclusion of FNSA’s KAIA token swap, as well as the next round of FTX compensation payments to affected users. In Singapore, the Tokenize Capital Summit will continue, while in Washington, the chair of the Senate Banking Committee is pushing to finalize the Crypto Market Structure Bill before month-end.
Midweek: Token2049 and Key Inflation Data
On Wednesday, Oct. 1, all eyes turn to Singapore for the start of the Token2049 conference, one of the biggest annual gatherings in crypto. Project-specific updates are also on deck, with 1inch (1INCH) scheduled to make an announcement at 07:15. Later in the day, macro data takes center stage: the Eurozone CPI release at 12:00 (expected 2.2%) and a U.S. Senate session on crypto taxation at 17:00 could have broad market impact.
Thursday, Oct. 2: Network Upgrades and U.S. Jobs Data
The following day sees several project milestones. SuiFest begins, Arweave hosts its Asia Day, and Optimism (OP) will roll out the Superchain 16a upgrade on mainnet. The SEC’s deadline for deciding on the first Litecoin spot ETF also arrives, alongside the closure of Level Protocol, which will distribute its final profits. On the macro front, the U.S. initial jobless claims figure (expected 229k) lands at 15:30.
Friday, Oct. 3: Labor Market in Focus
Markets will shift to U.S. employment data, with three releases due at 15:30: average hourly earnings (expected 0.3%), nonfarm payrolls (expected 51k), and the unemployment rate (expected 4.3%). These reports will be closely watched by traders anticipating how the Federal Reserve reacts to signs of labor strength or weakness.
Weekend: Binance Chain Update
Finally, on Sunday, Oct. 5, the BNB Chain wallet browser extension will be officially discontinued, marking the end of a widely used tool in the Binance ecosystem.
