HB Wealth announced the appointment of Gina Martin Adams as Chief Market Strategist as part of a broader enhancement of its investment leadership team. Adams will work alongside recently named Chief Investment Officer Joel Houck and newly appointed Deputy CIO Ford Donohue to guide the firm’s investment philosophy, market outlook, and portfolio strategy. The firm currently manages approximately $29 billion in assets.
Adams previously served as Chief Equity Strategist and Head of Equity Strategy and Fund Research at Bloomberg Intelligence. With more than 25 years of experience across global financial institutions, she brings expertise in market analysis, thematic research, and synthesizing complex macroeconomic and market data into actionable investment insights. Her work at HB Wealth will include collaborative market commentary, expanded proprietary research, and contributing to the development of new investment solutions, while supporting advisors and clients with timely insights.
Houck, who joined HB Wealth in early 2025 through the firm’s merger with WMS Partners, brings more than three decades of experience spanning capital markets, equity research, commercial banking, and hedge fund management across several financial institutions. Donohue has been with the firm since 2014, most recently serving as Managing Director of Public Markets, overseeing investment strategy across equities, fixed income, and hedge funds.
The expanded investment leadership group will serve on the firm’s investment committee, shaping asset allocation and portfolio construction while working closely with both private and public markets teams. Adams will also play a role in helping advisors communicate market positioning and economic perspectives to clients.
Adams is a CFA and CMT charterholder and is active in industry organizations, including serving on the Board of the CMT Association and the Advisory Council at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. She is also involved in initiatives supporting the advancement and mentorship of women in finance.
